What makes a culture

History influences culture through the concepts of tradition and heritage. It is part of the human condition to want to know where one originates and what practices that bound them were most important to their society.
Culture is shaped by history as it is a reference point for how people should act or think in certain situations.

Storytelling is how histories are passed down, how customs are shared and how traditions become endemic to a group.
Language
In order to understand a country’s culture, it’s crucial to learn their languages first

May understand and learn some food etiquette rules, eg. in Italy, they don't mix seafood and cheese
Art
Art influences society by changing opinions, instilling values and translating experiences across space and time

Symbols
Symbols is something that represents a concept, it’s usually a culture in a country and only used in that country
Symbols can indicate status and trigger certain behaviors.
E.g. the symbol of the church or the style of furniture, items hung and even the color of the walls all contribute to telling everyone more about the people who inhabit it.
Values
Values are the rules that everyone agrees to abide by within the group, and these can be seen throughout all of the other elements of culture.

Beliefs
These beliefs unify the group’s understanding of the world and provide a foundation for action. This can smooth out communication between subgroups but can also become a blinder if not checked.
