Types of environmental impact according to its effect through time
Temporary:
These changes could dissapear over a matter of time and the affected area can recover
Reversible:
These impacts could be undone naturally or by time itself or by human intervention.
Irrevesible:
These changes cannot be undone
Persistent:
It can continue to exist for a long time and it causes long term changes to the enviroment.
Indexes
living planet index:The Living Planet Index (LPI) data tells us how species are faring, by measuring trends in monitored populations of vertebrate species.
environmental sustainability index: measures the overall progress of nations toward environmental sustainability.
ecological footprint: a measure that indicates how much resources from the environment are required to support a specific way of life or business.
