Approximately 22.8% or 1 in 5 adults experience some type of mental illness and according to Johns Hopkins, about 26% of Americans ages 18 and over, which accounts for approximately 1 in 4 adults

Anxiety disorders
Eating disorders
Paranoia
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Bipolar Affective Disorder
Antisocial Personality Disorder (sociopathy)
People with mental illnesses typically do not show a sign that they have a mental illness
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 46% of people who commit suicide have a "known mental condition"
