Rocky coasts have areas of high relief, usually resistant rock, high energy environments, erosion greater than deposition and destructive waves
Sandy coastline have low relief areas so they are genrally flat, soft rock area, low energy environment and constructive waves
High energy coasts are characterised by destructive waves, long fetches, high rates of erosion and erosional landforms
Low energy coasts are characterised by constructive waves, shorter fetches, high rates of deposition and depositional landforms
