Polygon Modelling
Primarily used to create digital outputs (video games, VFX, visualisations etc.). However, polygon modelling can also be applied to physical processes such as 3D printing (particularly useful for prototyping).

Traditional design: When you define the geometry and analyze the results ‘manually’ and then iterate to find the right solution.
Parametric design: When you create a model that updates automatically when you change the input parameters but you still have to analyze results ‘manually’.
Generative design: When you have an algorithm that generates thousands of design solutions at the push of a button and helps you choose the best one from it.
AI Content Generators: These are based on deep-learning models that can take raw data and “learn” to generate statistically probable outputs when prompted. The response is open ended and unpredictable.
