But he reported in 1903 from British soldier , he died of fever ( Dumdum fever) in Kolkata Dumdum

Life cycle
Vertebrate host: man, dog, rodents
Invertebrate host: female sand fly ( Phlebotomus argentipes)
- Amastigote released from infected human bloods and suck by sandfly
- Amastigote converted to Promastigote in midgut of sandfly
- Reproduce by binary fission
- After multiply enormous, move to buccal cavity, finally reach to proboscis.
- Sandfly can release the Promastigote in human or rodents blood by biting
- After entering in to human or rodents it engulf by macrophage
- Again Promastigote convert to Amastigote and multiply
- After multiply , rupture and reach to another organs through blood circulation ; And reach to reticlo endothelial cells, again multiply and rupture
- It leads to lowering of Immunity
- If the infected person get bite by sandfly , amastigotes transfer to sandfly
