uncodified= from a number of sources and has not been formally written down in one document. There are 4 main sources:

Common law/case law- when judges set set precedent during court cases on how law should be interpreted.

Codified constitution :
single document which outlines the way in which a political state is governed. There are 3 main principles:
entrenched- is extremely difficult to amend or rescind a codified and rescind a codified constitution .
