HUMAN BODY SYSTEMS
MUSCULAR SYSTEM
Specifically skeletal muscle tissues.
Participates in body movements, such as walking; maintains posture, produces heat.
The four properties of muscular tissue are:
Extensibility,
elasticity,
excitability,
contractility.
-
NERVOUS SYSTEM
It generates action potentials (nervous impulses) to regulate the body's activities, detects alterations in the internal and external environment and responds by causing muscle contractions to glandular secretions.
Reception of general sensory information (touch, pressure, temperature, pain, vibration)
Receiving and perceiving special sensations (taste, smell, vision, sounds)

CARDIOVASCULAR
SYSTEM
The heart pumps blood to the blood vessels; blood carries oxygen and nutrients to cells, carbon dioxide and other wastes from cells, and helps regulate acid-base balance, temperature, and water content of body fluids; Blood components defend against diseases.
-
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
produces the physical and chemical degradation of food. They absorb nutrients, eliminate toxic waste.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
It transfers oxygen from inhaled air to the blood and carbon dioxide from the blood to the air that is exhaled; Helps regulate the acid-base balance of body fluids; Air flowing from the lungs through the vocal cords produces sound.
-
BONE SYSTEM:
.
The skeleton is made up of 206 bones; It contributes to shaping the body in addition to providing support for soft tissues.
