Talking about the pre-mortal cortex of the brain.
This part of the brain is not yet developed until mid and late twenties.
The Pre-Frontal Cortex of the brain is what enables us to control our behavior.
"This area of the brain that is involved in our cognitive control"
"It's our ability to process and direct our attention based on our goals."
"It's the last part of our brain to develop".
So these kids already have access to these tools where they have the least capability of actually controlling their behavior.

There's that one funny scene where the mother asks everyone to put their phones in a glass box where no one can open it until a certain period of time.
Everyone complies which made both the mom, son, daughter, and dad get annoyed.
After everyone puts their phone away, the mother tries to initiate a conversation with the family, but it was just awkward silence.
The daughter hears a ping notification from the phone and wants to open it.
The daughter excuses herself to wash her hands but she actually tries to open the jar that is made of glass. She failed in opening it because of how tight the jar is sealed. Her mother notices her and says that she can't open it after one hour.
The daughter was in shock by this information. After her mother looked away from her, she tried another solution which is breaking the jar with a hammer, she was wearing protective googles.
The whole family was shocked when the daughter broke the glass, which also affected the other phones as well.
The daughter then hurriedly grabbed the phone and went to her room with her phone.
Each post has likes and comments
What does "likes" in Facebook or Twitter mean?
It means it shows how many people "liked" or appreciated your post whatever that post is.
Popular people have a lot of likes in their posts
So that means, if you have a lot of likes in a post, that means you're popular only on that post.
But to tell that you're really popular person in that social media website, you need to have consistent high amount of likes on every post.
And that's where the mental problem comes it. You're ADDICTED TO HOW MANY LIKES YOU HAVE ON EVERY SINGLE FUCKING COMMENT/REPLY/POST. And that's how it will ruin your life.
You start become an ATTENTION SEEKER!
It also means that once you click it, you're telling the algorithm of Facebook that you like that specific content, and it will now find other posts with almost the same keywords for you to look at.
What does the documentary talk about?
The documentary talks about how the social media is an addiction.
The crave for attention is part of human nature
It's part of human nature is the fear of rejection.
It also talks about how terrible it is to the child's mental health because of the early exposure to the internet.
The problem here is that young children need a role model to look after too, so they search for popular people in the internet.
You're a lucky parent if your child looks up to one of the Greek philosophers or to one of the scientists (like Albert Einstien), but the majority of the young children today look after people such as rappers, and cool and sexy lookin' people.
Looking at Social Media posts is an addiction since there's an infinite amount of information
You can't leave your children unattended with the gadget, you need to monitor their activity online or else you don't know where they will be going on the internet.
When they are communicating with strangers, tell your children to not say anything that's private information.
When you see your child going to shady websites, force them to get out of the website.
When you see your child watching inappropriate videos, tell them to stop watching them, or else force them to stop watching them and add blockers to those videos.
Now the real challenge here is when the child starts going to school now and meets other people their age with different experiences.
The challenge is even after all your disciplinary actions to your child, can you child navigate by itself and cooperate with those other children in school?
According to this study, on 2018, In America, they found that 95% of 13 to 17 year olds had or used smartphones.
That's a lot of people who can access social media.
Since every child in school has different experiences, you won't know how each one will interact with your child.
It also talks about how Social Media is responsible for the spread of wrong information.
I heard of this study where established news agencies who post news get only a few likes, comments, and shares. However, the individual users in the social media platforms who post news or information that has negative words in the title gain more likes, comments and shares than the established news agencies.
