Matter
What is it?
Mixture
The combination of two or more pure substances with both pure substances retaining its individual chemical properties. It can contain elements or compounds. Ex. saltwater
Homogeneous mixture; liquid, gaseous, or solid mixtures that have the same proportions of components throughout the sample.
Solution

Pure Substance
A substance made up of only one kind of particle and has a constant structure. They contain only one type of atom and can be classified as elements and compounds. Examples of them would be water or salt.

Chemical change
Can also be referred to as a chemical reaction but its the process involving one or more substances turning into new ones.

-
A characteristic of matter that can be observed or measured without changing the sample's composition. Physical properties that scientists record on an object can be density, color, odor, hardness, melting point, and boiling point. These help identify characteristics of a substance.
Colloid
A mixture that has very small particles of one substance that distributed evenly throughout the substance
