Worry monsters can be used as a way of enabling children to discuss their emotions and confide in someone without having to talk to a person if they don't feel comfortable. Then the parents can look inside the worry monster later on to establish how the child is feeling and then they will know how to respond.
Develop communication skills with your child as communication and language underpins all other areas of learning. Children need to be able to communicate their emotions through their chosen method of communication.
