What is it
World War II was a global conflict that took place between 1939 and 1945. It was the largest and most destructive conflict in history, involving most of the world's nations, including all the great powers, organized into two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis Powers.

Human and economic
Over 50 million people died in war. The extensive destruction of property which mostly affected cities, and the population displacements.
Production fell by 50%, inflation rose and generated a lot of hunger.

The war had an inseparble economic dimension. Also rationing, which simulated the blak market. The Nazi expolted the subjugated territories for their benfit
