Epicardium: outer layer w/ blood vessels

Parietal pericardium: outer layer of thin sac of tissue surrounding the heart
Blood Flow thru Body
1) blood enters through S/I vena cava and goes into right atrium
2) passes tricuspid valve into right ventricle
3) passes pulmonary valve into pulmonary artery to lungs
4) back to heart by pulmonary veins to left atrium
5) passes mitral valve into left ventricle
6) passes aortic valve into aorta to body
