They help our inmune system,help us grow and help our cells to work properly.

like starch, sugar y fibra give us energy.

Proteins make up our tissues and organs,and keep us strong.
SYSTEMS
EXCRETORY SYSTEM
All blood passes through themrenal arteries in our kidneys where the blood is filtered.This produces urine, which is waste mixed with water. Our skin is also part of the excretory system.Sweat glands in the skin excrete sweat, a mixture of water and saltas, through pores.When sweat evaporates from the skin, it cools us down.
RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
INHALATION The diaphragm contracts and rises. The lungs inflate. The oxygen flows from 1:nose and mouth2:trachea3:bronchi4:bronchioles5:alveoli6:blood vessels.
EXHALATION The diaphragm relaxes and rises.The lungs deflate.Carbon dioxide flows from1:blood vessels2:alveoli3:bronchioles4:bronchi5:trachea6:nose and mouth.
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
1:Saliva production begins when we smell food.Teeth crussh as we chew.Food is shaped into a ball by the tongue. 2:Food is passed into the oesophagous.The eppiglotis stops food going down to the windpipe.3:In the stomachthe food is broken down in to a small pieces here.Gastric juices mix with the food.4:when the food is passed into the small intestine.It is mixed with bile from the liver and pancreatic fluid from the pancreas.Then the abosrption occurs, and nutrients are passed into the blood.5:undigested waste continues throught the large intestine.Water reabsorption into the blood occurs.Solid waste passes through the rectum and leaves our body through the anus.
