When did it start?

The Modern Age was from the 15th to the 18th centuries.

The Middle Ages were from 500 AD to 1500, lasting about 1,000 years.

There was the third estate of the common people, mostly peasants, but also craftsmen, traders, doctors, jurists, etc.
