INVENTIONS IN HISTORY

Airplane.-
The essential components of an airplane are a wing system to sustain it in flight, tail surfaces to stabilize the wings, movable surfaces to control the attitude of the plane in flight, and a power plant to provide the thrust necessary to push the vehicle through the air.
-
Car.-
Most definitions of cars state that they run primarily on roads, seat one to eight people, have four wheels, and mainly transport people, not cargo.
The Buick Y-Job, the vision of famous General Motors designer Harley J Earl and launched in 1938, is generally considered to be first concept car.
The modern car—a practical, marketable automobile for everyday use—was invented in 1886, when German inventor Carl Benz patented his Benz Patent-Motorwagen.

The first headphones were developed in the late 19th century for use by telephone operators, to keep their hands free.
