Making a hairstyle tutorial
Pros and benefits of a tutorial
Will force me to learn the beneficial skill myself and the final product will help others
I have the required and necessary tools needed. E.g hairties, hair curlers and straightner a mannequin
Will send a positive message about helping women feel beautiful and that 'If
I can do it, you can too!'
Can observe the teacher technique I will be taught with at Clip Joint
Aligns with current VET course and future employment aspirations
I enjoy doing my own hair and others
My VET course will support my hair styling development
I have basic knowledge and abilities
Cons and challenges of pursuing a tutorial
Extensive research is required to teach myself
Certain skills take repetition to get good enough to teach
Not many people may be interested in a hair tutorial
Potential Evidence of Action
Email or conservation with a teacher at Clip Joint (VET course location), asking about the potential struggles and ideas she might have for my tutorial
Consistent progress photos of the same hair style on myself or the mannequin over time, with matching dates. Annotations pointing out improvements.
Survey to school or Clip Joint about what they would want to see in a hair tutorial
Links to tutorials and resources that I will need to use to learn the skill and how to teach it.
Final Product could include:
One or two hair styles e.g dutch braids
Different hairstyles based on how much time you have
Hair curling techniques
Easy, moderate and hard hair style turtorials
Recommendations on products to use based on prior research
