One of the most common causes of land pollution is litter and waste (Texas Disposal Systems, 2023). Now, one may think that litter and waste wouldn’t do much; however, when the litter degrades, it causes pollution by releasing chemicals and microparticles. As for the waste, when it isn’t managed properly, it will also cause land pollution. As an example, until the mid-20th century, waste was left above ground, which led to rats, mosquitoes, diseases, bad smells, and the wind blowing the waste out of the landfill.
