These are not updates to the game, but announcements from the developers including their development roadmap, planned features, announcements about a new game from this developer.

Updates that do not change the nature of how the game is played. These are usually bug fixes, optimizations, language support, graphical enhancements, etc.

Updates that tweak the values of existing features in a game. This is highly relevant to competitive multiplayer games such as Call of Duty or League of Legends. These updates don't change how the game is played, because they are just tweaking values such as the damage of a weapon or the reload speed, which does not affect the nature of the program.

This is an addition to the game that does not change how it is played, but simply adds more content. This is most relevant to 'Early Access' games as they frequently received expansions.

These updates are simple text paragraphs. They can be identified by the fact that they do not mention any direct changes to the game, and usually contain words such as 'Announcement' or 'Developer Letter'.

Many developers directly use the words QOL or 'Quality of Life' somewhere in these updates, but another key indicator is that these updates use words such as 'made easier', 'simplified', 'accessible', 'optimized', etc.

These updates are easiest to identify by game, since certain games only put out balance patches. Dota 2 has not changed in many years, but every few months they change the numbers of how different character abilities work (more damage, faster movement). These updates can also be seen by how their wording refers to existing values 'increased by 5'

These updates discuss something new being added to the game that cannot be found in the existing knowledge of the game that is given to ChatGPT alongside the update info. This is more frequent for early access games, but any game can expand its content. These updates contain words such as 'new' 'expansion' 'additions', etc.
