Educate family members on fall precaution
Place patients items within reach of the patient

Assess and monitor neurological status as ordered by doctor
Assess and monitor for any episodes of epilepsy
Elevate the head of the bed to semi fowlers if theres an increased intracranial pressure
Assess in monitoring medications e.g intravenous mannitol (Reduce swelling of the brain and increased blood flow of the brain)
Health teaching
Monitor pt who sustain head injury closely during the first 24h
The injured person should not be left alone, be allowed to drive, drink alcohol
