Procedure for Blocking Diagrams
Indent margins by keeping independent clauses on the left and dependent clauses indented in relation to the clause they modify
Identify clauses ( look out for the parent and children clauses
Mark coordinating conjunctions in bold format
Isolate sentences by looking at where the periods are
Underline modified words that is, dependent clauses to either a noun or a verb in the clause it modifies
