BIOGRAPHY
Was born in Dublin and grew into a middle-class Catholic family. He was educated at Jesuit school and Attended University College In Dublin where he studied Modern Languages.
His objective was to free Ireland from the English dominance. It was achieved from an European point of View.
Indeeed, he thought that the only way to make Ireland Free was to see the future as a Cosmopolitan European. (in contrast with the historical attitude of Yeats)

1904; he met Nora Barnacle and after a while they left Dublin together. Moved to Trieste, Joyce met Italo Svevo whose he was his teacher. but in Trieste the situation was disastrous; and his writings were considered obscene and irrelevant fro the irish cause
