The Lord saved them from their foe.
You must not eat leavened bread with this; for seven days you must eat it with unleavened bread, the bread of emergency, for it was in great haste that you came out of the land of Egypt; so you will remember, all the days of your life, the day you came out of the land of Egypt. Deutoronomy 16:1-17

God gives us what we need when we depend on him and stop desiring more than we need. We must surrender to his will and trust that he will see us through.
Pray about this radical trust today. Do you depend on God for your daily sustenance, or are you trying to become self-sufficient?

The writings of the two testaments support each other. The radiance of the transfiguration reveals clearly and unmistakably the one who had been promised by signs foretelling him under the veils of mystery. As Saint John says: The law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. In him the promise made through the shadows of prophecy stands revealed, along with the full meaning of the precepts of the law. He is the one who teaches the truth of the prophecy through his presence, and makes obedience to the commandments possible through grace. From
