- - - - but most of the time if women pushed men away in the first few weeks and months and some argued their virtues were fading away, they were usually also persecutaed by some men during this time until succomb.
        
        for instance in the book of Anne Applebaum Gulag, women were persecuted and end up being practice without any other option if they wanted to survive in the camp. the author gives the example of a young woman who decline the offer of a privileged prisoner of the camp, this one beat her up with a metal stave, then carry her to the hospital where she get the time recover and the best attention possible since the prisoner who carry her was a important personage but when she get out of there she was of course obligated to go live with him otherwise she would have been beaten up again. p.287. Another story recalls explains how a women who said no to a chief camp was forbidden to take any vegetables in the plantation where she worked as part of her punition, while all her comrades were able to do so. she was starting to starve and then comply to the chief of the camp to be able to stay alive 285
  - - - in the book of Anne Applebaum, Gulag, she explains the special place that occupied Western women, including poles, Czechs and other East European that had a few advantages in comparison to normal soviet women.
        
        the examples given by Applebaum are similar to the one in the book : "they were the objects of special fascination and interest, which sometimes paid off in contacts, in gifts of food, in kinder treatment" page 275
  - - - some even get married without even saying each other ones during their emprisonment. ( 292)
        
        in this case no advantages and trade was involved only the care for someone and someone for who to live

- - - - about the children sometimes after the arrest of their mother, got a new names and saw her as a traitors of the soviet communist party and therefore did not want to keep any contact with her.
        
        when nothing really change in the atom of their family, speaking about what happened and sharing their experience of what women went through was sometimes difficult since during a long time talking about what happen was formally forbidden at the exit of the camp, after sharing with family, children especially was hard to do and hard to convince them of the horror their went though during their absences. (page 465)
- - - - others on the other hand, stoped believing in anyhing, religiously, politicly speaking, they still did not though they did something wrong but believed that communist was finally not so good from the beginning that if they end up there becuase of stealing only a piece of bread because they were hungry it was not completely their fault but more the problem of the communist at that time that create this famine in the region and the stalinist one that put them where they were right now.
