VALLHORN
It can be used both outdoors and indoors (includes rain splash protection) to activate light or other automation when motion is detected. It requires three AAA batteries and can be paired to directly control up to 10 Ikea bulbs.
BADRING
It includes a 60dBa siren alarm to alert the user that there is a water leak. It can also trigger a mobile notification via the Ikea app for homes with the Ikea Dirigera hub.
PARASOLL
It is a sensor for doors and windows that can be discreetly attached to the frame to be activated once an opening event has been detected. The great thing about this new sensor is that it can be paired directly with an Ikea bulb without the need to purchase the smart home hub (which is a great saving on the purchase of that device for connecting everything in the home).

WHAT IS AN SMART HOME?
A smart home refers to a convenient home setup where appliances and devices can be automatically controlled remotely from anywhere with an internet connection using a mobile or other networked device. Devices in a smart home are interconnected through the internet, allowing the user to control functions such as security access to the home, temperature, lighting, and a home theater remotely.

TYPES OF BRIDGES
SOFTWARE-BASED BRIDGES
These bridges run on a laptop or mobile device. They are the most flexible option, as they allow you to connect any smart device, regardless of its platform. However, to use them requires technical knowledge to set them up. One of the most popular programmes for this task is IFTTT, as it allows you to create connections between devices in a simple way.
HARDWARE-BASED BRIDGES
These are stand-alone devices that connect to your WiFi network. They are the simplest option, as they do not require advanced technical knowledge to set up. However, they are less flexible, as they only allow you to connect devices that are compatible with their functions.
