In 1923, Germany didn't make reparation payments so France invaded and occupied the Ruhr
Hyperinflation
Due to reparation payments, the German government printed lot's of money and led to a collapse in value of the currency and caused hyperinflation
Rise of extremism
Due to the war reparations, Germany was hit hard in the great depression and lot's of people became unemployed, this drove people to the political extremes in order to fix Germany
