Childhood
He was 3 of 5 children of Frederic Goebbels {a pious factory worker}, his father provided him with a high-school education and paid for his 5 year undergraduate education
he was exempted from military duties in WW1 due to his club foot, which could have been caused by contracting polio as a child
After graduating from Heidelberg university in 1922, he pursued literary, dramatic and journalistic efforts by writing an Expressionist novel in diary form

In 1924, Goebbels made friends with a few Nazi's, and being a gifted speaker he became district administrator in Elberfeld and he also got the position as editor of a biweekly Nazi magazine

Goebbels mastery of propaganda was apparent after their defeat in Stalingrad and Africa. During WW2 propaganda was being diligently spread to keep morale high with the public, sending false messages that Germany was triumphing in the war.
Hitler died from suicide, Goebbels was chancellor for 6 years after Hitler's death - however, Goebbels wife poisoned their children and shortly after the couple took their won lives.
