Organisms
Multicellular organisms
Unicellular organisms
Nerve cells: Sends information to the brain about what happens inside the human body.
Yeast
Stem cells: A system used to repair damaged organs or organelles inside the human body.
Bone cells: To hold the structure of the human body.
Skin cells: Protects the body from bacteria or viruses.
Blood cells: It carries oxygen from the lungs into other parts of the human body.
Algae
Bacteria
Bacteria obtains food by growing into a process called photosynthesis. They digest their food by producing enzymes which break down the food into different categories.
Yeast obtains food from carbohydrates. For example bread. They digest their food by breaking the carbohydrates down in a process called fermentation.
Algae obtains its food by converting water and carbon dioxide into sugar. The process is called photosynthesis. The algae digest its food by oxidizing the molecules in the water. This is mostly absorbed from the environment of the water.
Plant cells
Collenchyma cells: it supports flexibility and structure for leaf veins and stems.
Xylem cells: Transports water and nutrients to the roots stem, leaves a or the whole plant so that the plant can survive.
Parenchyma cells: Store food particles, starch or oils mostly liquids. They are mostly likely act as a food or water supplier.
