PARTS OF SPEECH: NOUNS
A noun is a word used for a place, person, or thing.
A noun will be the name for something we can touch (pen, table), and sometimes, for something we cannot touch (happiness, truth).
Types of Nouns
1. Proper Noun
The given name of a person, or a specific place or thing. A proper noun always starts with a capital letter (e.g.: Anna, November, Ecuador).
2. Common Noun
The word used for a class of person, place, or thing. They are not capitalized unless used in start of a sentence (e.g.: cat, city, radio).
3. Concrete Noun
The things which we can see or touch physically (e.g.: pen, tree, coin).
5. Collective Noun
The words that denote groups' collection or multitude of something. These noun are used as singular (e.g.: team, grup, army).
7. Countable Noun
A noun that can be counted in numbers (e.g.: dogs, bottles, apples)

10. Gender-specific Noun
Nouns that are definitely male or female (e.g.: king, actress, mister, miss),
11. Verbal Noun
Nouns derived from verbs and do not have verb-like properties (e.g.: building, drawing, attack).
6. Compund Noun
Nouns made up of more than one word. Some compound nouns are two words, some are hyphenated, and some have become single words (e.g.: greenhouse, play-off).
4. Abstract Noun
The things you cannot see or touch. Abstract nouns do not have physical existence (e.g.: sadness, joy, love).
8. Uncountable Noun
A noun without a plural form. All abstract noun falls under this category (e.g.: oxygen, patience, sand).
