Lungs
Bronchial asthma
A chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by reversible bronchoconstriction, wheezing, and dyspnea.
Bronchitis
Inflammation of the bronchial tubes, commonly presenting with coughing, mucus production, and breathing difficulty
-
-
Pulmonary edema
Excess fluid accumulation in the lungs' alveoli and interstitial spaces, leading to impaired gas exchange and respiratory distress
-
-
Lobar pneumonia
A form of pneumonia affecting an entire lobe of the lung, typically presenting with high fever, productive cough, and chest pain.
-
-
Chronic bronchopneumonia
Persistent inflammation of the bronchi and alveoli due to unresolved infection, presenting with prolonged coughing, weakness, and weight loss.
Pleural disease
Disorders of the pleura caused by infections, trauma, or neoplasia, leading to pleuritis or fluid/air accumulation in the pleural space

Liver
Liver failure
Management includes supportive care, detoxification, dietary adjustments, and treating the underlying cause of hepatic dysfunction
Mechanical jaundice
Jaundice caused by obstruction of bile flow (e.g. gallstones, tumors), leading to bile accumulation and yellowing of tissues.
Haemolytic jaundice
Jaundice resulting from excessive breakdown of red blood cells, causing increased bilirubin levels
-
-
-
Suppurative hepatitis
Liver inflammation with pus formation due to bacterial infection, often resulting in abscesses and systemic illness
Haeatosis
Degenerative liver disease often due to metabolic or toxic causes, marked by fat accumulation and impaired liver function.
Hepatic necrosis
Death of liver cells caused by toxins, ischemia, or infections, often leading to acute liver failure
-
Air ways
Rhinitix (coryza)
Inflammation of the nasal mucosa, causing sneezing, nasal discharge, and congestion.
Frontal sinusitis
Inflammation of the frontal sinuses, often leading to pain above the eyes and nasal discharge
Maxillary sinusitis
Inflammation of the maxillary sinuses, resulting in facial pain, swelling, and nasal congestion
Laryngitis
Inflammation of the larynx, typically causing hoarseness or loss of voice and throat discomfort
Layngeal edema
Swelling of the laryngeal tissues, potentially leading to airway obstruction and breathing difficulty
Laryngeal spasm
Sudden, involuntary contraction of the laryngeal muscles causing temporary airway blockage and voice changes
Laryngeal paralysis
Loss of function in the laryngeal muscles due to nerve damage, leading to breathing and vocalization issues
Other
Acute pancreatitis
Sudden inflammation of the pancreas causing severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and elevated pancreatic enzymes
Peritonitis
Inflammation of the peritoneum presenting with abdominal pain, rigidity, fever, and signs of systemic infection
