Tajikistan is a landlocked country located in Central Asia, covering an area of approximately 143,100 square kilometers. It is bordered by Kyrgyzstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Afghanistan to the south, and China to the east. The country is predominantly mountainous, with the Pamir Mountains in the east, often referred to as the "Roof of the World." Tajikistan's rugged terrain is interspersed with valleys and rivers, including the Amu Darya and Vakhsh, which provide vital water resources for agriculture and communities.
