- - - - Oxytocyn: stimulates uterine contractions and milk ejection. Neurotransmitters in brain.
      - Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH): triggered by high solute concentrations, pain, blood pressure, and drugs. Target kidneys to reabsorb more water to inhibit urine formation. can cause vasoconstriction.
    - - Growth Hormone (GH): Targets liver, skeletal muscles, and bones. Has direct actions with metabolism and indirect actions with growth.
      - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): stimulates development and secretion activity of thyroid. Inhibited by rising blood levels of thyroid hormones.
      - Adrenocorticotropic (ACTH): Stimulates adrenal cortex to release corticosteroids.
      - Gonadotropins (FSH and LH): FSH stimulates gamete production and LH production of ganadal hormones, follicle maturation, ovulation, release of estrogen progesterone and testosterone. Regulated by GnRH.
      - Prolactin (PRL): stimulates milk production
  - - - Mineralocorticoids: Regulate electrocyte concentrations. Aldosterone: stimulates Na+ reabsorption and K+ elimination by Kidneys
      - Glucocorticoids: Influence metabolism, keep blood glucose levels constant, maintaining blood pressure. Include Cortisol (released in response to ACTH and inhibited by acute stress), cortisone, and corticosterone.
      - Gonadocorticoids: Onset of puberty and secondary sex characteristics, sex drive, source of estrogens.
    - - Catecholamines (epinephrine and noronepinephrine): function in vasoconstruction, heart rate, blood glucose levels, blood to brain, heart and skeletal muscle. Epinephrine has a metabolic activities and noroepinephrine in cardiovascular system.
  - - - Estrogen: maturation of reproductive organs, appearance of secondary sexual characteristics, breast development and uterine cycle
      - Progesterone: regulate uterine cycle, Cervical mucus, inhibits uterine mobility, prepare breast for lactation.
    - - Testosterone: maturation of reproductive organs, secondary male sex characteristics, sex drive, sperm production.
    - - Secretes estrogen, progesterone, and human chronic gonadotropin (hCG)

      - Resistin: insulin antagonist

      - Secretin: stimulates liver and pancreas
    - - Atrial Natriuretic Peptide (ANP): decreases blood Na+ concentration, therefore blood pressure and blood volume
    - - Erythropoietin: signals to production of red blood cells
    - - Osteocalcin: secreted by osteoblasts. prods pancreas to secrete more insulin, restricts fat storage, improves glucose handling, reduces body fat.
