BASIC ELECTRICITY
Power sources
Components that supply the necessary electrical energy to the rest of the circuit in order to move the electrons.
Conductors
Components that transport the electrical energy from the power sources to the load devices so the electric current flows through these components
control devices
Devices that reguate the circuit ; in other words ,they allow or prevent the flow of electric current through the circuit
Load devices
Components that receive the electrycal energy from the power sources and covert it to othrs types of useful enrgy.
Is a series of interconnrected components that an electric current flows through to produce an effect.
Components of a circuit
Power Sources
cell
Supplies electrical energy to the rest of the circuit.Cells have a positive terminal and a negative terminal ; this lets them supply electric current to the circuit when they are connected .

Resistor
A load device that opposes the flow of the electric current. Converts electrical energy to heat energy.

- Open circuits and closed circuits. Short circuits
-
-
In a electric circuit, a short circuit occurs when the electric current transported by the wires without passing throug load device.

Current: this is the intensity of the current or the amount of electrons flowing through a conductor
-
Electricity is a form of energy that lets negatively charged particles (electrons) move from one atom to another
