- - - - Electrons are subatomic particles that are found in all atoms, and are classified as elementary particles with no mass. They do not have quarks, but are fundamental particles classified as leptons, distinct from them. They do not have gluons or mass, unlike protons, neutrons, or atoms nuclei. They are distinct from quarks and gluons. Electrons also do not reside in the nucleus unlike protons and neutrons.
    - - PROTONS
        
        A proton is a positive-charged subatomic particle found in the atom's nucleus. It is composed of three quarks, two up and one down, which are the building blocks for both protons and neutrons.
      - NEUTRONS
        
        A neutron is a neutral subatomic molecule found in an atom's nucleus, forming next to protons. It has 1 up quark and 2 down quarks and is bound by gluons. Despite having a neutral charge, neutrons have a slightly heavier mass.
      - The nucleus is a dense region around an atom, is composed of protons and neutrons, held together by the nuclear force. It determines an atom's identity based on protons and neutrons, potentially creating isotopes with varying masses.
    - - Quarks are quantum numbers in physics that describe related subatomic molecules with similar masses but different electrical charges. The strong force, moderated by gluons, tightly bonds quarks, creating a complex internal structure for a single proton.
    - - Leptons are known to be elementry particals, meaning they are not made up of smaller particals, and do not react to the strong force but rather interacts via the weak, electromagnetic, and gravitational forces.
