My Olympians, It is easy to dismiss Kenny as an introvert and a wallflower…
My Olympians
Mr. Campana
-
-
Mr. Campana has always had a proficiency of telling unique and powerful stories. His powerful oration can breathe a new life into timeless classics when he reads aloud, highlighting the key message of the story. Furthermore, he emphasizes the necessity of our own personal stories, and invites us to analyze how they affect us.
Mr. Harris
-
-
Mr. Harris always knows just how to use humor to make students smile - both in and out of class - and get them engaged in his lessons. He uses a mixture of wit and charm to dissect historical events so they are not only understandable, but relatable to our everyday lives.
My Mom
-
-
My mom has always been caring and understanding of others, and instilled in me those beliefs. She taught me how to see the perspectives of others, and empathize with their beliefs. I really resonate with this idea and try my best to think about why someone may think or act a certain way.
My Dad
-
-
My dad has shown a great deal of both physical and mental strength in his life. He was in an accident that has left him in pain to this day, however that has not discouraged him from doing hard work outside, albeit with some help. He also has had many terrible experiences from his time as a police officer, but he has not let these events affect him.
Ayden Cannon
-
-
Ayden has been my friend since middle school, and since then, we have been very close. He was my first true companion, and let me realize what being friends was truly like. To this day, I have struggled creating relationships that were as strong as the one I have with Ayden, and I wish to recreate a similar friendship with my other classmates.
Mr. Forriester
-
-
Mr. Forriester is the main person of authority at our school, and as such conducts himself in a formal manner. He tackles subjects with courtesy and elegance, and exudes an air of power with his speeches. He is able to articulate his points in a way that is clear and approachable. He finds a balance between formality and approachability.
It is easy to dismiss Kenny as an introvert and a wallflower - reserved and modest, isolating and self-effacing like the very picture of a small kitten frightened by a caretaker's touch (one might imagine him spending his afternoon in a library studying computer architecture). But, bashful, humble, and secluded as he is - the archetype of the nerd - Kenny is never a bore.
