- - - - To represent the goddess of love, I chose my mother. She is the most warmhearted, supportive, and nurturing person. Whether I made her furious or not, she takes care of me with all the love in the world. I decided to use a quilt as her tangible item since they are frequently associated with comfort, warmth, and care. It also symbolizes a reassurance of a mother's never-ending love that can be carried down through generations.
- - - - For the god of jollity, I chose Julian because every moment with him is filled with laughter and euphoria. I've known Julian since we were 5, and never once have I seen him pessimistic, quite the opposite, his infectious laughter had everyone in a buoyant mood. For Julian's tangible item, I chose rainbow balloons because balloons are often associated with celebrations and happiness, and they are rainbows because of how colorful his personality is.
- - - - My perpetual god of strength will be my brother Luis. Ever since I was young, my brother has been indestructible in my eyes; he was a father-figure to me. My brother is not only physically strong, but he also always holds firm to his beliefs. My brother was a very big inspiration to everything in my life, and growing up, I idolized him. To this day, I hope to be at the minimum half the person my brother currently is. I chose a mountain to be his tangible symbol because mountains don't sway to the wind or fall to the ground due to pressure, but they are unmovable.
- - - - My older sister Jenni is intelligent, authoritative and incredibly knowledgeable, watching her grow up from the small girl to the beautiful and brilliant woman she is now shows how much one can change and grow from being young and empty headed into an intellectual and insightful person because of these reasons I chose her to be the goddess of wisdom. Her tangible item is an owl because they are often associated with wisdom, mostly in Greece, and I believe it describes my sister perfectly.
- - - - For the goddess of friendship, I chose my best friend, Jayce. Jayce played a huge role in my life and made everything so much easier to deal with when we were younger. She showed me compassion and carefree times anytime we were together. Her smile has always been infectious and honest. For her tangible item, I chose a braided bracelet because it represents unity, however, I also have a bracelet from Jayce, which I haven't taken off since the day she gave it to me. She gave me the bracelet in the sixth grade.
- - - - I chose Emma to represent the goddess of beauty. To this day, I stare at Emma and all I see is every beautiful thing in the world represented by one singular person. Although you may be thinking I'm talking about just outside beauty, I am not; she is not only beautiful in the way she looks, but the beauty in her vocabulary, and the way words flow out of her mouth so sweetly and perfectly. For her tangible item, I chose a dusty blue rose, I wanted the rose to be dusty blue because although you may think beauty would be shown with a ¨perfect¨ red rose, the perfect imperfection of it being dusty blue sees the beauty behind being different, just as I described Emma.
- - - - I chose my older brother Jordan to stand in for the god of brotherhood. Although I am aware that this may seem quite simplistic to many, I spent the majority of my early years thinking that my brother Jordan was not my strongest supporter. I've come to understand the importance of my brother as I've grown older. He not only pays attention to my emotions, but he also makes me laugh, is affectionate and helps me forget my problems. He's quirky, funny, and kind-hearted. I selected a cup with the words "#1 brother" as his tangible object. I picked this because it reminds me of the #1 brother, who I felt would be cheesy and funny, but soft-hearted.
