Even after my first impression of Mr. Campana as a tour of the Early College before it was even finished, I was introduced to his fascinating way of speaking and methods of thinking. In this tour, he spoke about the incomprehensible things the Early College and the new building would accomplish, and what opportunities it would bring, which is a big factor in why I chose to attend. Through my attendance of English 1, I was enlightened further on just how deeply he thought everything through, the paths he took expanding a concept and delivering it back in such a comprehensive, interesting w, ay which was enough to entertain bored freshmen early in the morning. His teaching inspired me to look further into the media I was consuming, view it from different perspectives, and research things that interested me. Even when I wasn't in class, a casual conversation with him was enough to bring out a week-long reflection on a concept and push me to look into it. Mr. Campana embodies expansive thought due to the sheer fact that he's been able to take his great ability to expand the most boring thing and make it interesting to a wide demographic, furthermore, he influences them to follow his path which in the end, creates a better sense of empathy for generations of students to come.
