Lesson one of week one - Coggle Diagram

- - - - “Some” is used for affirmative sentences and for offers or requests (interrogative sentences). For example:
        Affirmative:
        There is some fruit on the table.
        There are some cookies in my bag.
        
        Offer with affirmative answer: Would you like some wine?Yes, I’d like some.
- - - - Adverbs of frequency are adverbs of time that answer the question How frequently?, or How often? They tell us how often something happens.
- - - - In the last unit we reviewed the rules of pluralization of nouns and affirmed that these are similar to those of the –s added to verbs in the third person singular in the simple present tense.
        Just adding an –s:
        Work – works
        When the verb ends in -s, -ch, -ss, -sh, -x, -z or -o, we add –es:
        Watch – watches
        When the verb ends in a consonant + -y, we change -y to –ies; but when the verb ends in a vowel + -y, we just add an –s:
        Study – studies
        Patty studies English one hour a day!

      - Positive statement Alan can swim very well!I can speak two languages.
