What is the purpose of the document?
Steps put in place for staff to follow allowing children to reach milestones and stages within developmental areas
Provide comprehensive guidance, drawing on previous guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which has been updated in order to reflect recent research, meet the needs of practitioners, respond to current issues in society, meet the needs of children today and to lay a strong foundation for their futures (Birth to 5 Matters, 2021)
