Human Sacrifice

used human sacrifice, usually of prisoners of war

The Aztecs also practiced sacrifice of prisoners,because believed that Huītzilōpōchtli required blood to satisfy him.

When Europeans arrived, thousands were being
sacrificed every year in large religious ceremonies
