Gas Laws
-
The Ideal Gas Law(L5): The product of the pressure and volume of a gas is directly proportional to the amount and the temp of the gas. under same temp, pressure and volume all gases contain the same number of molecules (but not the same mass)
Ideal Gas: Follows all gas laws no matter the condition. Assumes no other forces act on the particles except during collisions. Do not condense into a a liquid when cooled.
Real Gas: Deviates from ideal gases when at higher temp and pressures. Behave most like ideal gases at higher temp and lower pressures. At low pressure, molecules are spaced apart, having little interaction with one another.

Law of Combining Volumes, Avogadro's Theory and molar Volume(L4):
-
Avogadro's Theory: The volume of a gas is directly proportionate (equivalent) to the number of moles of the gas.
-
Molar Volume: The volume that one mole of gas occupies. The molar volume is the same for all gases. P.g. 28
