How did different goals of the negotiators affect the treaty
Germany had to pay reparations for the damage they caused
also lost a substantial amount of territory
also had restrictions set on their military operations
the allies governed Africa and the Pacific as a punishment for Germany
Britain and France didn't want to sign the treaty because they were concerned with national security
Why did Germany agree to the terms with how much they were losing, between land and money?
Alliance: this is applied because all of these countries teamed up to try and prevent another war

Wilsons Plan for Peace
While the war was still going President Wilson had planned peace proposals
Known as the 14 points, they outlined a plan for peace.
The first four were to end secret treaties, freedom of seas, free trade, and reduced armies and navy.
The fifth was adjustment of colonial claim with fairness toward colonial people
Sixth- Thirteenth points were to adjust borders and add smaller countries. The guiding idea behind these were Self-Determination
The last point was to have a general association of nations, this would protect both smaller and bigger nations.
