Uncountable nouns have no plural and are preceded by some, any, demonstrative adjective this, that, possessive adjectives and the determiners of quantify a little, much, a lot of, etc-but never with the article a/ an.
Uncountable nouns are not preceded by the article the when we are talking in a general sense, but they do use the when we refer to something specific
