Market Expansion- expands into different countries
Labour Mobility- hire workers from various countries
Cultural Influence- introduces cultural products and marketing
Political Impact- can influence global politics through trade agreements
Technology Transfer- brings advanced technology
Impacts of Globalisation
Ethics- labour standards, human rights, environmental responsibility
Opposition- concerns over income inequality, exploit cheap labour, and erode cultures and traditions. Resulted in BRICS
Migration- people moving for work (international and urban-rural)
Economy- employment opportunities, international trade, investment, competition growth and risk
Development Gap- concentrating economic opportunities to certain regions and countries while leaving others less economically developed
What BRICS Wanted To Do
A more equitable distribution of economic benefits
Address income inequality, unfair trade practices and concentration of economic power in Western Countries
Reduce dependence on Western dominated financial markets and institutions
Promote cultural and political diversity as a counter balance to Western culture

The Middle East has been referred to as the crossroads of the world because it connects the three continents of Asia, Africa and Europe
The majority of Muslims do not live in the Middle East. More Muslims live in South Asia than in the Middle East and North Africa combined
Roughly 60% of the population in the Middle East is under 25 years old
The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth at around 420 metres below sea level
Many countries in the Middle East are wealthy because they have large quantities of crude oil
BRICS
Why- Seeks to deepen economic cooperation between the member countries and stand in contrast to the Western sphere of power
When- Formed in 2001
What- It is a political and economic alliance that promotes cooperation and dialogue amongst its members
Who- Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa
