What happened to the aboriginal people?
Within 3 years of when we colonised there, over 90% of the aboriginals were killed
we actually did not murder them, however many diseases we bought over, like smallpox, killed them as they did not have the necessary antibodies
First aboriginal people were seen when the first british colony came in 1788

somewhere between the years 1869 and 1969 about 100,000 native australian children were kidnapped and taken away from their families
this was actually an attempt by the europeans to 'civilize' the aboriginals.
While we attempted to 'civilise' them, we actually stripped the children of their heritage.
The children could not speak their language or do their traditional rituals, and had to have special permission to marry.
Pemulwuy
Pemulwuy was a member of the bidjigal tribe, who led a resistance against the British Colonies.
He united the tribes and led attacks against the british.
Pemulwuy was said to be unable to be killed by british guns because he was once shot 7 times and did not die.
Shot until dead In 1802 pemulwuy and he was decapitated.
His head was sent to London with a message that said that he was a terrible pest but very independant.

The vote Was to recognise the first australians by establishing an aboriginal and torres straight islander voice
40% said yes and 60% said no

The aboriginal Australians have a very good reason to hate The British Empire because the British just came to their country and colonised it. Not to mention the wave of diseases British Settlers brought in killing 90% of Aboriginal Australians. Overall I believe that the Aboriginal Australians have a valid reason to hate the British empire
unemployment and abuse for aboriginals.
Aboriginal australians are twice as likely to be physically assaulted than white australians.
20% of aboriginal australians are unemployed.
