NOTE
Correct punctuation in Direct Speech:
- "I'll be off," said Mary

NOTE
If the reported sentence is out of date, the verb form changes
If the reported sentence is up to date, the verb form doesn't change (still true at the moment of soeaking/writing)
NOTE
In conditional sentences:
- It would be best if we started early -> He said it would be best if they started early (Type 2, suggestion)
- If I had any money, I'd buy you a drink -> If he had had any money, he would have bought me a drink (Type 2, unreal past)
