3D chain reaction game ideas
chain reactions with terrain and buildings
magic chain reactions
lightning + wind = electrifying wind - slices through buildings, leaving electric fields on what it cuts through and if opponent is hit by the move, cause stun and bleed.
fire + ice = encasing water - does nothing by itself but if someone uses lightning on them, it causes them to be stunned for longer and stun everyone around.
melee chain reactions
element ideas
wind - causes bleeding on the opponent and can slice through some material if high level. ice can freeze the wind.
lightning - stuns the opponent, does less damage than most elements, can leave electric fields if combined with certain elements.
fire - burns the opponent, flames can be rolled out of, wind can extinguish flames. the least amount of positive combinations. highest damage element.
ice - slows opponent, can freeze them if enough hits land, flame removes freezing effect but makes the player wet instead allowing them to be stunned for longer if hit by lightning. if blocked it can freeze hands, slowing melee attack speed and casting speed.
arcane - base element that has no counter but doesn't deal much damage.
special skills
domain expansions: you create an enclosed area around you, trapping anyone who is inside the domain. what the domain does depends on what element you first chose. it costs a lot of mana and constantly drains it while using it.
fire domain: you create a volcano like arena, burning every enemy inside for consistent DoT. deals reduced damage to flame enemies. deals more damage to ice enemies.
wind domain: you create an arena where you stand above a still ocean. whenever you attack, the entire arena gets cut by wind slashes, helping to extend combos and deal bonus damage. deals less damage to wind enemies. deals more damage to fire enemies.
ice domain: you create a snowy arena, slowing all non-ice enemies. the hits required to freeze someone are reduced and when you freeze them they take bonus damage upon shattering them. deals less damage to ice enemies. deals more damage to wind enemies.
lightning domain: you create a rainy arena where enemies periodically get hit by bolts of lightning. if the enemy gets hit by lightning, they are stunned for a short duration. deals less damage to lightning users.
arcane domain: you create an arena in a plain area of just grass. while in the domain, you gain enhanced mana regen and all your arcane attacks apply a random effect on hitting the enemy. these buffs also apply to other arcane users.
ultimate arts: ultimate arts is the special elemental abilities you can unlock if you only use 1 element and unlock it late-game. it is very powerful however it takes a lot of mana and after usage it goes on a very long cooldown, debuffs the player and has large amount of endlag if missed.
ultimate wind art - reality slash: the user prepares a devestating slash that does true damage and applies a permanent bleed effect so even if they don't die, they will be slowly dying after the move.
ultimate fire art - undying fire: upon use, the user enters a state of undying where upon reaching 0 hp, they will burst in flames in a last resort effort to kill whoever they need to kill. it removes all effects from the user and brings their health to 50% however they are constantly burning and the only way of removing the burn is by killing an opponent. the move only lasts for 20 seconds upon usage and if the user doesn't die by that point, they get a large amount of endlag.
ultimate lightning art - approaching storm: when the user casts the spell, they encase themselves with lightning, buffing their speed and increasing their damage however if the user doesnt deal enough damage to the opponent, they will be struck with lightning causing them to be stunned for a period of time.
