Negative
Deviation from the set point, reverses the direction and bring the system back to its normal state.
Positive
Reinforces a physiological process, leading to an endpoint
Humoral Stimuli
Changes in the concentration of ions or molecules in the extracellular fluid (blood or interstitial fluid).
Example : Blood glucose levels triggering the release of insulin from the pancreas to regulate glucose.
Hormonal Stimuli

Example : The release of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) by the pituitary gland in response to low levels of thyroid hormones.

Example : The release of epinephrine and norepinephrine from the adrenal glands in response to stress
