Swab sampling

Method:
1) Pre-treat the swab in the sample solvent
2) Swab the specified surface in a uni-direction firmly to cover the entire area
3) Put the swab into a test tube with extractable solvent and extract the residue by sonication
4) Filter the extract sample and analyze it using a suitable analytical method
Cleaning Plan

Equipment cleaning log
Cleaning and sanitizing log should be prepared, maintained, and made readily available

E.g. Blender, dryer, reactor, granulator, filler etc
Includes:
- Date + end time of batch processing
- Date + start and end time of processing
- Date + start and end time of sanitization, including expiration time
- Operating procedure, SOP or procedure number for the cleaning and sanitzation being carried out (Any variation from the established operating procedures should be recorded)
- Product and batch preceding the cleaning and sanitization
- Visible residues found if any
- Sign-off by operator
- Review, approval and sign-off by verifier
