If an observation is to happen, both parties usually need to know and agree as many of the following things as possible

Feedback from you
try and take an objective, more advaned view of what happened during the lesson
Hot feedback
Sit down after teaching and write down a description of what happened and/or your first reactions and feelings about what hapenned
Cold feedback
When the lesson has become a bit clearer in your head - maybe an hour or so later, or perhaps the next day - add a few more sentences, remembering to look for the positive things as well as things that need to work.
